Prenatal treatment

FETO procedure (Fetoscopic Endotracheal Occlusion) involves the placement of a balloon (about 2 cm in size) into an unborn baby’s airway. The balloon blocks the baby’s airway, which allows the lungs to grow. The available medical references and research studies show that FETO can help to double the chances of survival of a newborn (e.g. from 15% to 30%).
